My God-Brother is Corey Reynolds who you may know from Broadway’s Hairspray as the original Seaweed character or TNT’s “The Closer” with Kyra Sedgwick or maybe you saw him in “The Terminal” and “Red Tails”. He currently plays the Sheriff of a small town in SyFy’s “Resident Alien”.
But his childhood wasn’t the prettiest, his father was gunned down when he was 2 which forced him & his older sister to be raised by a single mother (my Godmother) in Richmond, Virginia. Corey was my big-brother and I always admired his chase after your dreams hustle; as soon as he got a car he auditioned to be a performing artist at Paramount’s Kings Dominion Theme Park and then soon found himself on a cruise ship performing Disney & broadway songs.
OK so I am done bragging, but seriously - I encourage you to watch/listen to this episode of Phucking Phenomenal, if you ever for a second start to doubt your worth because - “You Deserve to be Here”. Worth a listen.
